Here are a few highlights from the session.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for iSTREAM to engage with students, families, and community members while highlighting the importance of science, technology, engineering, aviation, and mathematics in everyday life. Through interactive activities, educational resources, and meaningful conversations, participants were encouraged to explore scientific concepts, ask questions, and discover new pathways for learning.

We are grateful to MINA and all of the participating vendors and partners who helped make this event a success. By working together, we can continue to inspire curiosity, foster lifelong learning, and increase access to STEM opportunities throughout our communities.

iSTREAM hosted another successful Aviation Day, and believe it or not, this was our 3rd Annual Aviation Day! The event brought together students from across the region for a day filled with hands-on learning, career exploration, and exciting opportunities in aviation and technology.

We were honored to welcome Bridgette Fabor-Palmer from the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP), who shared valuable insights about careers as a flight attendant and the many opportunities available throughout the aviation industry.

Throughout the day, students participated in engaging sessions covering a variety of topics:

• Cybersecurity in aviation
• RC model aircraft
• Aviation call signs and communication
• Drone technology
• Reverse engineering

Students traveled from several communities to attend, making this one of our most diverse and well-attended Aviation Days yet.

One of the highlights of the event was the awarding of four Discovery Flights, generously donated by Air-Mods Flight Center in Roebling, NJ. These flights will give students the opportunity to experience aviation from the cockpit and take their first steps toward becoming pilots.

In addition, Drone Tech Navigators donated personal drones to three lucky students, providing them with tools to continue exploring drone technology beyond the event.

Lunch was provided free of charge, and attendees had the opportunity to hear from an outstanding panel of aviation and aerospace professionals. Our guest speakers represented organizations including Lockheed Martin, Civil Air Patrol, OBAP, Parts Life, Inc., and other industry leaders who shared their experiences and advice with the next generation of aviation professionals.

We are grateful to all of our speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and partners who helped make this event possible. Most importantly, we thank the students whose enthusiasm and curiosity continue to inspire us each year.

Highlights from the Day

Thanks to T-Mobile’s generous donation of laptops, iSTREAM expanded access to high-quality digital learning all summer long.

The laptops were put to powerful use in both the Burlington City Summer Recreation Program and the 4-H Club, where students dove into hands-on coding and explored a wide range of digital learning opportunities. These devices did not just support lessons, they opened doors for young learners who might not otherwise have access to technology that fuels creativity, problem-solving, and future-ready skills.

Because of partners like T-Mobile and supporters like you, iSTREAM continues to break down barriers and bring STEM education directly to the students who need it most.

Through your generous support, iSTREAM was able to sponsor Burlington County’s own young entrepreneur, Gianna Miller, the local winner of the Ella, Inc. Pitch Competition.

Gianna earned the incredible opportunity to travel to Florida International University (FIU) to advance her social-impact project in Phase II of the Ella, Inc. Program. Representing Burlington County, New Jersey, she brought passion, innovation, and purpose to a national stage.

iSTREAM proudly supported Gianna’s journey by providing airfare and a travel gift card, ensuring she could fully participate in this transformative experience. We are especially thrilled to uplift her because she is also an invaluable volunteer with iSTREAM NJ. Her growth, leadership, and commitment to service are a direct reflection of what happens when a community invests in its young people.

Event Highlights:

• Mindfulness & Asking for Help: Students engaged in an insightful workshop with Ms. Kristina Odumes of Black Falls Therapy and Wellness, learning powerful tools to manage stress and effectively ask for help. 🧠💡
• Creating a Friendship Circle: Mrs. Carolyn Shultz of Carol Consulting led a session on how to create meaningful friendships, both in school and beyond. Students left with valuable strategies for building their social circles. 🤝❤️
• 70 Families & 112 Students: It was amazing to have such a great turnout! We welcomed 70 families and 112 students, all ready to learn, connect, and grow together.
• Dinner & Fun: We wrapped up the evening with a delicious dinner and plenty of opportunities for families to connect with one another. 🍽️🎉
